This blog site was started by the first cohort from East Africa to benefit from the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships for Masters programmes at the Institute of Education, University of London. The over 20 members made a decision during their study to find a strategy for continued collaboration beyond that period. This blog site, along with other initiatives was borne out of this decision.

The African Institute for Children Studies (AICS) is a for profit non-governmental organization that conducts research and training within East Africa and beyond. We have carried out work for several local and international NGOs including Save the Children Alliance; IRC; UNICEF, UNHCR and Free Penteconstal Fellowship in Kenya.
AICS has a pool of Associates that are professionals in their own fields but provide consultancy services whenever called upon. We will pay 5% of the total project cost to you if you help market the Institute and enable it to get a project.
